There's a monster in my nursery!
I have had a lot of people ask for pictures of Gabriel's nursery so I thought it was easiest to blog them so I can also link where I got things.
As this was my first son I really wanted something different and funky for his nursery but alas all I found were aeroplanes, safari animals and teddy bears.. ok maybe a few other themes but nothing grabbed me. I have a habit of making things difficult for myself and of course there were very little monster themed products available for the nursery so I had to make a lot of things myself and made friends with Etsy! Anyway here are the photos
The room itself is really small, not that it matters he only sleeps in here during the day
I found these adorable monster decals on etsy Stephen Edward Graphics
This is our change table, I bought new handles and painted them with monster faces then laquered them, they really do make the change table pop! I made the Ooga Booga cover that goes over the change mat
These canvases I made myself, they started as clip art files
My mother in law crocheted the monsters for the mobile, I used 2 wooden coat hangers from Spotlight to create the cross bar and used eye hooks to attach the monsters. The monster face on the mobile itself is self adhesive felt. The pattern for the crochet monsters is found here
I fell in love with these handmade monsters I got them from Babua
I found this nightlight at ikea
Still to come I bought a monster train from Monsteropolis that should arrive in the coming weeks it's very cute
I'm also making this monster album

New Sydney market this weekend and update on Vicki/bubblebubs stock
As you may or may not know, Vicki is currently safe, but affected by the floods with no electricity and limited transport options. No couriers or post is going or coming. Our sewers house has been flooded. So next week we will have more idea of when we'll be able to get orders to you and increase our stock levels.
However if you are in Sydney this weekend, pop along to the Manly Markets - we'll have Candies, All-in-2's and foamy wipes wash! GREAT prices, we'd like to sell out! We'll be there 9am - 5pm.
Manly Markets is at the end of Sydney Road, almost on the Corso... only 50 metres from the Sand. You can park for free at the Council car park (Whilstler Street/Market Lane) only 50 metres from the market - lots of handmade and crafted product too.
Or, you may want to grab the ferry if you aren't driving - grab an icecream on the way up the corso or even head to Ben and Jerry's afterwards!

See you there!
This Sunday we'll be trying out a new market - we're hoping this will be a regular venue as it's not only in a beautiful location, it's open every weekend (giving us more flexibility and opportunity to sell at market prices).

To market!
Hello!
This is Liss here and just thought I'd update you on our market at Billycarts Narrabeen this weekend!
Billycarts is a new market for Bubblebubs, so that means a whole lot of new people to convert doesn't it? The weather was lovely with a wonderful ocean breeze and light and airy position at the Lakes Parish Church hall and the stallholders couldn't be friendlier!
We had some print Ai2's and some Candies - which was fabulous for existing MCN users so they could have a touch and feel, and also those new to the world of MCN's to get first-hand advice how it all worked and really how much money they could save (the Dads love this aspect) whilst looking absolutely cute (Mums were going wild over the Christmas prints!)
Lots of people took advantage of the fabulous market day offer on Foamy Wipes Wash - many of them putting them away for family and friends for Christmas stocking filler as were the clips!
Oh the clips!
Look at these beautiful Specialty Christmas ones!
As well as the corkers and Pony-O's - very popular in the stocking filler stakes!
So thanks for popping along to those Bubblebubs regulars, and our new soon to be regulars who we met today for the first time! See you at the next Sydney Market!
If you're on the Sunshine Coast, Vicki has more of the same for you next Saturday at Mammas Markets Buderim!

Getting momentum back
So the last year or so, my family has been dealing with a whole lot of ... challenges... but I was relentless in my MCN use. With a wee one in hospital for most of it, I continued putting Missy B in her fluff, unless I was taking her to the hospital to visit her brother (40 min drive each way and 2 hours there...)
Then our Little Mister came home... for a while at least and I was so excited about using double the nappies and seeing the wee man in much nicer looking nappies. Then we start yoyoing between home and hospital again and slowly but surely I start losing momentum. Miss B was either in her occasional care facility or with my fab mothers group friends and it all went in the too hard basket. She'd wear one or two MNCs a day, once I knew I was home for the day. Mr Man was in them at the hospital with pockets/ PUL covers over their terry squares.
Now he seems to be home (for a while at least, fingers crossed) I am having trouble getting back into the swing of it.
Tips?

Name that nappy!
Now that we have a 4th style of our Cute Tooshie all in two arriving shortly I think it's about time they had their own names don't you?
The first one we need a name for is our PUL Ai2. It has a PUL outer and Microfleece inner. It is 'turned and topstitched' and is a very neat looking budget nappy. It's RRP is $25.95 and comes in a rainbow of colours
The 2nd nappy to be named is our minky Ai2. It has a PUL laminated minky outer and a suedecloth inner. It is 'turn and topstitched' and comes in 11 beautiful colours
and lastly our boutique printed minky Ai2. This is our boutique nappy made with a gorgeous printed minky outer and microfleece inner. These nappies have an overlocked edge and each print made is only for a limited time
So think you have the perfect name for 1 or all of them? If you do simply comment on this blog post or on facebook. Of course if you do suggest the name we use for the nappy we will send you one of those nappies to add to your collection!
